Questions about textile transport
How do I find a transporter for textile parcels?
Choose the city you are sending from and the city you are sending to. The route page lists transporters that book goods on that route, with their services, listed transit times and contact details.
What is an LR or bilty?
A lorry receipt (LR), commonly called a bilty, is the receipt a transporter issues when it accepts your goods. It carries the tracking number and the receiver usually needs it to collect the goods.
Is an e-way bill needed to send textiles to another state?
For inter-state movement of goods, an e-way bill is generally required when the consignment value is above ₹50,000. Your transporter will usually ask for the e-way bill number along with the invoice. Check current GST rules for your goods.
What is the difference between part load and full truck load?
Part load (LTL) shares a truck with other traders' goods and is charged by weight or parcel. Full truck load (FTL) books a whole vehicle for your goods and usually travels direct.
Can transporters list their business for free?
Yes. Transport companies and booking agents can add their office, services and routes for free. Each listing is checked before it goes live.
