Short answer
Most Surat wholesale textile markets open around 10 AM and close between 8 and 9 PM, Monday to Saturday. They are normally closed on Sunday.
Individual shops vary slightly, but the Ring Road routine is consistent: counters open from about 10 AM, the busiest hours are from late morning into the afternoon, and dispatch and parcel booking dominate the evening. Sunday is the weekly holiday across almost all markets.
Exceptions happen in peak season. Before Diwali, FOSTTA has in some years announced that markets would stay open on Sundays so goods could keep moving, as reported in late September 2026.
