Short answer
Kota Doria is a lightweight, breathable fabric woven with a unique square check pattern (khat) using a combination of cotton and silk yarns. Cotton yarns provide strength while silk gives a translucent sheen.
In Jaipur, Kota Doria fabric is block-printed in Sanganer and Bagru, tie-dyed in Maniharon Ka Rasta, or embellished with Gota-Patti and sold as sarees and unstitched salwar suits in Purohit Ji Ka Katla and Sikar House.
