Core Silhouettes & Definitions

- Achkan: Visually similar to a sherwani in length and collar, but tailored from lighter fabrics without heavy chest canvas padding, featuring a closer body fit and flare from the waist.
- Jodhpuri Suit (Bandhgala): Originating from royal Marwar (Jodhpur), it is a hip-length formal structured jacket with a closed high mandarin collar (bandhgala = closed neck) paired with matching formal trousers or breeches.
- Nehru Jacket (Bandi / Modi Jacket): A hip-length sleeveless tailored vest with a mandarin collar, worn over a contrast cotton or linen kurta.
