What wholesale buyers expect

  • Their own prices. Wholesale buyers expect a lower rate than retail customers and better rates for bigger orders. Show wholesale prices to approved buyers and offer quantity rates.
  • Catalogue-wise buying. List a set as one product with the set price, the per-piece price and photos of every design, plus clear rules on whether singles are available.
  • A correct GST invoice. Seller and buyer GSTIN, HSN code, taxable value and GST amount, so the buyer can claim input tax credit.

What retail buyers expect

  • True-colour photos in natural light, a full view, a close-up of the fabric and work, and the product worn or draped.
  • Complete details: fabric, length and width, blouse piece, size chart, work type and wash care.
  • Safe payment and delivery, with clear return rules.

Keeping returns low

Cash-on-delivery (COD) orders are more often refused at the door, so the parcel comes back to you: a return to origin (RTO). Many sellers confirm COD orders on WhatsApp before dispatch or ask for a small advance.

Getting found on Google

  • Write your own product descriptions instead of copying the supplier's text.
  • Add product structured data so search engines understand price and stock.
  • Build helpful pages, guides and tools around what your buyers search for.

WhatsApp and your website

Most textile buyers already share designs on WhatsApp. Share links to your catalogue pages, with a WhatsApp order button, so orders and payments come through your site.
